I'm Asking My Mom For These and Maybe You Should Too
I have been using some Ikea dry goods containers for years and they are fine — mostly. The one negative is that an entire bag of flour won’t fit in them. (They are called TILLSLUTA, but they are discontinued.)
But now my sights are set on something different. House Peace has organized a number of pantries recently and we have become obsessed with using Prokeepers canisters for dry baking goods. I WANT THEM FOR MYSELF.
The Prokeepers canisters come in a set of six which is perfect for decanting the six primary baking ingredients: flour, sugar, brown sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt (the canisters can hold the whole bag of flour and sugar!). We also like that the lids flip open to make scooping easy — the flour canister even has a built-in scraper to level off your measuring cup.
Even though one set will cover all the basic baking ingredients, I am going to ask my mother for TWO SETS of them for Christmas because I like to keep additional baking ingredients around like almond flour, bread flour, and so on.
