A Few Organizational Strategies for E-Learning
Today, one of my awesome lead organizers, Penny Thomas, and I talked about our experiences with schooling at home and how some of those strategies can work for you! The replay of our live video is available here on IGTV!
A few links of things we mentioned during the video:
Apple parental controls for when you need to have (Mac) devices in an area of the home that is not the common space.
Disney Circle to have controls on all household devices.
Rolling file cabinet with shallow drawers from The Container Store similar to mine in the video.
Tabletop version of the file cabinet above.
Inexpensive three-drawer units from Target to organize small supplies like pens, colored pencils, glue, craft supplies, calculator, and so on. (Note that the linked drawers are size medium — the one I showed in the video are a size small, but the smalls seem to be out of stock every where right now!)
Sterilite latch bins from Walmart. The one linked is a really useful size, but I like having a variety of sizes to hold items like hot glue, markers, buttons, other craft supplies where you want to be able to carry it somewhere else if needed. I love that these bins can stack high and you can make the most of vertical storage space.
Magazine files are ideal for items like workbooks, smaller notebooks, work sheets. I like having these color-coded or labelled with each kid’s name so they can keep all of their workbooks in there without them falling over on a shelf.
The Ikea Kvissle letter tray will always have my heart for organizing items like printer paper, laminating sheets, card stock, and so on.
